5 Off the Beaten Path Activities in Luang Prabang, Luang Prabang, Laos (B)

Luang Prabang is a popular destination for backpackers in Laos. This is not surprising, as there are many activities in Luang Prabang that you can do. But what are some fun off the beaten path activities in Luang Prabang? When I stayed in Luang Prabang, I did 5 activities that I don’t think most backpackers know about.

YES!!! There is a cat cafe in Luang Prabang! Super cute! It’s a small cafe, but the cats are super cute. The cats have ‘their own’ choice to go into the cafe and chill with the people or to stay behind the scenes. Therefore, the amount of cats varies from time to time. I think this is only normal, because cats are still animals and should not be used for mere entertainment. They have a great (western) menu with delicious drinks and dishes. All in all, I would definitely come back here! Loved my visit!

This temple is not on everyone’s list and that is really a shame. When I visited Wat Hosian Voravihane, I was the only one walking around. There are several temples and buildings on the grounds and you can see the homes of the monks. It is a very beautiful place! The temple is beautifully decorated and really worth a visit. If you plan to visit this temple, remember to cover your shoulders and wear long pants or skirts, even if you are alone at the temple! ......
