1) Beethovenstraat
Beethovenstraat is an elegant street in South Amsterdam, stretching from the Apollo Avenue to Buitenveldert. Those who come here in search of fashion, gifts or delicacies, rarely, if ever, leave empty-handed.

2) Cornelis Schuytstraat
An exquisite shopping street, home to a large part of the most stylish shops in Amsterdam. This shopping venue is for those who live in the expensive town area and, therefore, provides everything one might need to fit in – the best quality clothes, cosmetics, food and wines.

3) Pieter Cornelisz Hooftstraat
Pieter Cornelisz Hooftstraat, Amsterdam's mini Fifth Avenue, is situated in the Museum Quarter. The area is home to high-end classics like Chanel, Gucci, Hermés, Louis Vuitton; jewelry - Chopard, Cartier; lifestyle stores, as well as other boutiques selling luxury labels. The place presents interest to those serious buyers, as well as window-shoppers.

4) Spiegelkwartier
If you're looking to acquire a nice piece of antique either for yourself or anybody, Spiegelkwartier is the place to go. The variety of objects available here is enormous, from Egyptian 6,000 year-old antiquities and Chinese porcelain to the 17th century Delftware and abstract modern art.

5) Leidsestraat
Leidsestraat is a busy Amsterdam street, located between the King's Square and the Leidseplein. It has many luxurious clothing boutiques like Karen Millen as well as cheap souvenir shops.

6) De Negen Straatjes (The Nine Little Streets)
Amid the canal district of Amsterdam lies the area known as Nine Little Streets, one of the city's major shopping destinations. Dotted with designer boutiques (Antonia by Yvette, Donna Fiera, Sky Fashions), cozy cafés, vintage stores and specialty shops, the hand-laid brickwork lanes of the Nine Streets will see you stroll for hours.

7) Kalverstraat
Kalverstraat, probably the busiest shopping street in Amsterdam, stretches across the city center. It features stores like Mango, Esprit, Zara, WE, and H&M. Also on Kalverstraat there is Kalvertoren Shopping Center, a big brash mall with 45 stores, cafés, restaurants, and the department store Hema.

8) Dam Square Area
Traditionally busy and crowded, the area around Dam Square is grand with shopping opportunities. Here, among numerous boutiques, one will easily spot the famous Dutch department store De Bijenkorf.
