Tsaritsyno Park is a multifunctional complex that includes significant examples of Russian architecture, such as the Tsaritsyno palace, two bridges, a church, an opera house, a museum, etc. This territory is known since the sixteenth century, when it was the property of Tsar Boris Godunov's sister, Irina. Bread House
1) Bread House
Located near the Orangery bridge, the Bread House occupies an area of 4000 square meters in the Tsaritsyno Park. The great two-storied building was constructed in the form of a square with rounded angles and a square courtyard. This building is an important representative of Tsaritsyno's distinct architecture.

Cavalier Trinity
2) Cavalier Trinity
The three cavalier buildings were erected by Vasiliy Bazhenov in 1784-1785. Originally, the red-brick buildings were part of the residence of Queen Ekaterina II. Today the buildings proudly stand as an architectural complex of three edifices that preserve the Gothic style.

Tsaritsyno Palace
3) Tsaritsyno Palace
Tsaritsyno Palace is a fortress that was never finished or lived in by its owner. Architect Vasily Bazhenov began work on the palace located three kilometers south of Kolomenskoe in 1775, only to have Catherine the Great order the site be rebuilt using the architect, Matvei Kazakov 10 years later. Construction was terminated for good at the onset of due to Russia’s war with Turkey and a lack of interest from the Empress.

After Catherine the Great abandoned the project, the palace was left to the elements of nature. During the Stalin era, the palace briefly served as museum. Currently, renovation work is being done on the pavilions and there are plans to renovate the main palace so that public can visit.

Visitors to this estate will be greeted by the Gothic pink and white stone bridge, called the Patterned Bridge and other treats: the beautiful and ornately designed Bread Gate, the majestic Great Palace, and the Artificial Ruin. Classical music concerts occur frequently on the estate at the Opera House and the palace church, the Church of Saint Nicholas is a newly renovated and fully operational church. The palace also houses many tapestries, folk art, glassware, ceramics, furniture and paintings in many buildings on the estate.

Opera House
4) Opera House
The Opera House is considered one of the most attractive palaces of the Tsaritsyno Park. Ornamented with white-stone decorations and boasting the finest interiors, the Opera House was built to celebrate various court ceremonies. Today, this palace houses art chinaware exhibitions.

Figure Bridge
5) Figure Bridge
The Figure Bridge was completed in 1778 and leads from the Gothic Bridge to the Tsaritsyno Palace. The bridge has an original brick and white-stone work that forms interesting geometrical reliefs. The high parapet of the bridge unites the semi-circular towers, thus creating a remarkable view.

The Large Bridge Over the Ravine
6) The Large Bridge Over the Ravine
Commonly known as the Gothic Bridge, the Large Bridge Over the Ravine is an outstanding example of 18th century architecture. Built between 1778 and 1784 according to the project of Vasiliy Bazhenov, the bridge remains the largest structure of thing kind in the country. The design of the bridge offers a harmonious view, due to its well combined elements of Gothic architecture.

Church of Icon "Life-bearing Source"
7) Church of Icon "Life-bearing Source"
Church of Icon "Life-bearing Source" is an Orthodox church and an important part of Tsaritsyno architectural ensemble. The church was erected in 1722 by order of the Moldovan Ruler Prince D.Cantemir. It features a modest dome and has a mild blue color.
