Nassau features many splendid art galleries scattered across the city. Here you will find both old and new Bahamas works of art. The art work reflects the history, culture, and way of life got the people of the Bahama islands.
1) Plait Lady
The Plait Lady showcases many local artists from the Bahamas islands. Plait Lady is a large store that sells handmade Bahamian items, including a huge assortment of straw works. Only the best original artistry of the Bahamas is offered here.

2) Kennedy Gallery
Kennedy Gallery only exhibits contemporary art work, along with a collection of souvenirs and gifts. The works are all original Bahamas items and include handcrafts, sculptures, as well as pottery. Tourists will love the vibrant images in the paintings, as the art reflects the people, flora and fauna, and the ocean of the islands.

3) Balmain Antiques
Balmain Antiques is a gallery-shop that displays and sells unique Bahamas and Caribbean products. Balmain offers a unique collection of primitive Haitian art, etchings from the 19th century, and maps. It's not uncommon to find objects at least 400 years old at this shop. The gallery is housed in a beautiful Mason Building.

4) Josephine's Treasures
At Josephine's Treasures, tourists will cherish authentic Bahamian arts. There are many handmade items such as Junkanoo masks and still drums, as well as several souvenirs made from wood. The artists that show and sell their paintings at Josephine's Treasures usually paint the landscape of these islands with an easily identifiable cityscape.

5) Central Bank of The Bahamas Art Gallery
An art gallery is located inside the Central Bank of The Bahamas. The bank supports both old and contemporary art from the Bahamas. Visitors will enjoy permanent exhibitions from Eric Ellis Eddie, Minis, and Antonious Roberts. The Central Bank of The Bahamas Art Gallery is a must see while in Nassau.

6) Art Museum
The Art Museum contains permanent collections of art from the 18th and 19th centuries. The museum displays European and Western paintings, as well as Bahamian Art and Visual art. It is the main art institution on the Bahamas and a terrific place to learn about the history of art. The museum also provides a souvenir shop.

7) Popop Gallery
Popop Gallery is an independent art galley in Nassau, Bahamas. The main aim of the gallery is to promote contemporary art in the Bahamas. Here you can find works of both local and international artists. The gallery is open Wednesday through Saturday from 12.00 to 17.00.
