"Barza Neagra" store on Constantin Negruzzi Street is a specialized outlet of Aroma distillery. Established over 100 years ago, Aroma is a renowned producer of quality brandy. The distillery got its present name in 1983. Coupled with the taste, the intricate design of the bottle packaging makes Aroma brandy a perfect gift.

Unic is a commercial center built in 1983. What makes it unique is that, unlike other shopping centers in Chisinau, it specializes in the locally-made produce: clothing ("Brio", "Ionel", "Ponti"), furniture, etc. A definite must is the pottery section on the ground floor.

Viorica Cosmetics is an acknowledged leader of Moldova's cosmetic industry. Selling both, nationally and internationally, the company focuses on natural ingredients and, therefore, applies as little chemicals as possible. Scattered all over the city, Franzeluta stores lure in shoppers with a sweet aroma of freshly backed loafs, crunchy rolls and ... you name it. Although somewhat shabby and Soviet-like in appearance, the local cafeteria delivers quality and taste wrapped into one, so as to make up for the poor looks.

Cricova is the number one Moldovan winery with a solid reputation in Europe and Russia. Since established in 1952, Cricova has run a number of wine shops nationwide, the most beautifully decorated and famous of which is the one in the center of Chisinau.

The Romanian for "joy", Bucuria indeed brings joy to those sweet teeth. The company offers a lavish range of 300+ items: candies, biscuits, chocolates, marmalade, etc. Bucuria factory opened in 1946. Its oldest and best known shop is right in the heart of the city on Stefan cel Mare Boulevard.

BasaVin winery and store are conveniently settled downtown on Eminescu Street. Here, fine quality red and white wines coexist peacefully with souvenir-bottled strong liquors. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable.

Digging for gold? - Moldova maybe not the goldest glittering country, but it does have to offer some golden and silver items produced by Chisinau jewelry factory. Aureola is where you can come shopping for Moldovan-made jewelry. The store is on Stefan cel Mare Boulevard.

The square between the Eminescu Theater and the Orhan Hall is one of the densest tourist spots in Chisinau. The Milestii Mici winery is world famous for having the biggest natural wine cellar. The production range is enormous and includes, among other, the gems like Feteasca 1987, Riesling 1986, Milestscoe 1986, Gratiesti 1986, Muscat 1988, Trandafirul Moldovei 1986, Auriu 1986, and Cahor-Ciumai 1986. All of these are available at a specialized store in the center of Chisinau.

Moldova's first private vodka manufacturer Perfect has now made way to Europe as well. The company shop in Chisinau is located at the corner of Pushkin and Cosmonautilor Streets. The most popular vodka lines produced by Perfect are Exclusiv and Premium.
