1) Star Cinema
Star Cinema is the largest and most well-known cinema in Port Louis. It has three theaters where international blockbusters are shown in both English and French. Every day you can choose from four to five different movies. This place is popular with both locals and tourists.

2) Didus Art Gallery
Didus Art Gallery is located in the Le Caudan Waterfront shopping center. This gallery exhibits the works of renowned Mauritian artists whose pieces are inspired by daily life and the beautiful surrounding landscape. In addition to admiring the artwork on display, you can purchase postcards and other souvenirs.

3) Cinemaxx
Cinemaxx, a popular Port Louis movie theater, has two screens. You can catch a variety of international films, especially those by Hindi filmmakers. English subtitles are available for some movies, but the majority are dubbed in French.

4) National Library
The National Library is located on the first and second story of the Fon Sing Building. The library, with its collection of 230,000 books and documents, was opened to the public in 2000. The collection includes some rare books printed on the island, which the library purchased from the Mauritius Institute Library.

5) Municipal Theater
The Mauritius Municipal Theater is located in a beautiful historical building. Plays hosted by the theater are usually in one of three different languages: Creole, French or English. You can also see jazz and classical concerts here. Check the local newspapers to find more information on performance dates and times.
