1) Fernbank Museum of Natural History
If you want to see the world's biggest dinosaurs then look no further than the Fernbank Museum. The museum also features a natural forest, a planetarium, a telescope and a state-of-the-art IMAX theater. A wonderful place for the whole family.

2) Donna Van Gogh's Artist Market
This wonderful gem in Atlanta will amaze you with its offerings. If you like art you will find plenty here. Being one of the few places that features folk art, as also an exceptional and very friendly service, you'll easily be able to find a reasonably, priced gift for a friend. The gallery sells works of art mostly by local artists. A must-visit attraction.

3) Young Blood Gallery & Boutique
Founded in 1997, in the house of Kelly Teasley and Maggie White, Young Blood Gallery focuses on talented, independent and rising artists and craftsmen. The gallery was relocated in May of 2008, to the Poncey-Highlands district where they now have a larger and more approachable location. Every Saturday of each month the gallery has new art openings, and every Thursday of each month they house the Kraftwork - a crafts market. Don't pass by this awesome Atlanta gem.

4) Jimmy Carter Library and Museum
Opened in 1986, the Jimmy Carter Library and Museum features a comprehensive archive of materials connected to Carter's life and his administration and is home to a full-scale duplicate of the Oval Office including the Resolute Desk. The museum also hosts a large number of exhibits that will definitely entertain any visitor.

5) Whitespace Gallery
Located in an old building dating back to 1893 and endowed with an exquisite design, the Whitespace Gallery is a favorite with many in Atlanta. Founded by Susan Bridges, it exhibits both established and new artists. Having gorgeous opening celebrations, you definitely don't want to miss this venue.
