The Natural History Museum
1) The Natural History Museum
The Natural History Museum is located a few blocks away from Oslo's famous Royal Palace and includes a botanical garden, a zoological museum and a mineralogical museum. Whatever your interests, Oslo's Natural History Museum has it all.

Oslo Jewish Museum
2) Oslo Jewish Museum
Oslo Jewish Museum houses a collection of articles representing Jewish history and culture in Oslo, and Norway in general. It offers a variety of temporary exhibitions and events focusing on Jewish traditions, culture and history.
Fotogalleriet
3) Fotogalleriet
Fotogalleriet is the Oslo’s only gallery of the photographic arts. It exhibits contemporary Norwegian and international works and has a huge library containing literature on photography.

Old Aker Church
4) Old Aker Church
Old Aker Church is the only remaining church from the Middle Ages. It is built out of stone and has the shape of a Roman-style basilica. The church is surrounded by an old graveyard, part of it dating back to the 12th century. Although it has been ravaged several times by fire, the church remains one of Oslo's main tourist attractions.

Royal Palace
5) Royal Palace
The Royal Palace, the official residence of the Norwegian Monarch, dating back to the 19th century, is one of the country's most important buildings and a symbol of Norwegian history. The palace is situated on top of Karl Johansgate, which offers a great view, and has a beautiful public park close to it.

National Theater
6) National Theater
The National Theater of Oslo is one the most prominent cultural venues for dramatic arts performances in Norway. The theater dates back to 1829 with three official opening performances. Some of the best artistic directors have served here over the years and it regularly presents classic and contemporary plays on its five different stages.

Oslo Cathedral
7) Oslo Cathedral
Oslo Cathedral is located at Stortovet square and is the main church of the Oslo bishopric. Located at the lower end of the cathedral is Kirkeristen, where you can find souvenir shops full of handicrafts and antiques.

Film Museum
8) Film Museum
The Oslo Film Museum is dedicated to the history of Norwegian filmmaking. Classics are screened regularly on the second floor. You can also find souvenirs and a good selection of Norwegian and imported films in the museum’s shop.

Christiania Torv
9) Christiania Torv
Christiania Torv is a square in Oslo where some of the most beautiful historic buildings can be seen. There is also a fountain shaped like a hand pointing to the ground, symbolizing the words of the King Christian IV when he said the town would be rebuilt in this place after Oslo had been ravaged by fire in 1624.

Akershus Fortress
10) Akershus Fortress
Akershus Fortress was originally built as a castle, later becoming a city fortress and then a prison. Today it is a popular tourist attraction and an historic landmark. Akershus Castle is located inside the fortress as well as an exhibition of its history.
