Karachi's Garden East neighborhood features several memorable sites that will ensure a day of fun. Whether you're here for the Banooria Town Jamia Mosque, Quaid-e-Azam Mausoleum, Shri Panch Mukhi Hanuman Temple, and/or Nishtar Park - Garden East has something for everyone.
1) Banooria Town Jamia Mosque
Banooria Town Jamia Mosque is one of the many mosques in Karachi, yet Banooria is easily one of the most original. The architecture proudly displays high towers and wine-colored walls, as well as the Islamic Educational Center.

2) Quaid-e-Azam Mausoleum
Quaid-e-Azam Mausoleum is the final resting place and mausoleum of Quaid-e-Azam Mohammad Ali Jinnah, founder of Pakistan. The famous landmark is located in a 53 hectare park with a building that is even more impressive. Fifteen successive fountains lead to the platform from one side and terraced avenues lead to gates on the others. The Quaid-e-Azam Mausoleum was built between 1960 and 1970 by the Pakistani architect Yahya C. Merchant.

3) Soldier Bazar
Soldier Bazar is a very old market which sells meat, fruit, and vegetables. The market was established during the reign of the British, as it served as a shopping venue for British soldiers. Soldier Bazar, along with the rest of the markets in the city, are open to bargaining.

4) Shri Panch Mukhi Hanuman Temple
Shri Panch Mukhi Hanuman Temple is located in the Soldier Bazar neighborhood. Shir Panch Mukhi Hanuman Temple is another famous landmark of the city and draws large crowds due to a statue of Punch Mukhi that was not carved by people, but rather through nature. Legend has it that the statue is much older that the temple itself, which was build in 1927.

5) Nishtar Park
Nishtar Park is situated in Orangi Town. It was previously named Patel Park. The present name of this site is in memory of Sardar Abdur Rab Nishtar, one of the members of the Pakistan Movement. The park is a very popular place for various political and religious meetings and events.

6) Qadri Mosque
Qadri Mosque is located behind the Islamia Club. The entrance of the Mosque is covered with numerous inscriptions from the quran. The architecture of the mosque is especially fascinating, as Quadri is very old, built prior to Pakistan's Independence.

7) Karachi Zoological Gardens
The Karachi Zoological Gardens were established in the year 1878 and once commonly referred to as the Mahatma Gandhi Garden. After Pakistan's Independence, the name was changed. The venue offers a zoo and several botanical gardens. The gardens are also one of the most popular recreation areas in Karachi.
