Bulgarian Memorial Chapel
1) Bulgarian Memorial Chapel
The Bulgarian Memorial Chapel is a historic monument of 1882, built to commemorate Bulgarian volunteers in the 1877 military campaign, led by Russia to liberate Bulgaria from Turkish occupation. Back in the 1990s, the memorial got slightly enlarged.
La Placinte
2) La Placinte
La Placinte is a chain of restaurants serving traditional Moldovan food. Not too pricey, the restaurants are beautifully decorated (handcrafts on the walls), and offer relaxed atmosphere (waitresses wear folk dresses and smile) along with hearty meals and the value-for-many alcohol (local beers and wines served in a jar), all of which makes La Placinte a good alternative to any fast food joint in the city.
Zorile
3) Zorile
The flagship of Moldova's shoe making industry - Zorile - has long established itself as a provider of style, comfort, and quality. Recently, a new Zorile outlet has opened in district Riscani, featuring elegant decor and the latest items on its production list.
Orthodox Church
4) Orthodox Church
Adjacent to the Alioshin market is a church under construction started several years ago. Although incomplete, the church is already spreading the Word of God within the neighborhood. If you happen to be there, feel free to attend the service. The church has a choir.
Alioshin Bazaar
5) Alioshin Bazaar
Albeit not the biggest in Chisinau, the Alioshin Bazaar is surely a popular shopping venue, particularly with locals. Anything from fresh fruit to vegetables to jewelery to kitchenware and domestic appliances can be found there. Part of the recently closed Decebal market has moved in with Alioshin, bringing along its clothes and footwear section.

Kvint
6) Kvint
The renowned Transnistrian brandy brand is available at factory stores throughout Chisinau. One of them is in sector Riscani right behind McDonald's. The shop offers a good variety of brandies in souvenir packaging.
Memorial Park
7) Memorial Park
Off Moscow Boulevard down Miron Costin Street stretches the memorial park set to commemorate Moldovan casualties in the Soviet-Afghan war of 1979-1989. Recently opened, the park is already a popular local hangout, especially with teenagers. In the center of the park stands a monument with eternal flame.
Ion Creanga Lyceum
8) Ion Creanga Lyceum
The Ion Creanga lyceum is one of the biggest and oldest in Chisinau. Titled "European School of the Year" for 2008, the lyceum is a typical high-school institution of Moldova.
Moldova Technical University
9) Moldova Technical University
Established in 1964 as Chisinau Polytechnic Institute, the Technical University of Moldova now educates around 18,000 students. Other than tuition, for many years the university campus has provided venue for concerts and beer festivals. There is also a collection of sculptures by senior students.
Riscani Park
10) Riscani Park
Stretched for about three kilometers along Dimo Street, the Riscani Park is surely one of the spaciest in the city. There are four lakes and some dated carousel facilities. The upper part of the park provides an outstanding view of Chisinau.
