1) Heat Club
Heat Club is a great nightclub with a dance floor, a restaurant, and a bar. They also have VIP rooms that are available by reservation only. The atmosphere is outstanding and the interior most interesting. It's a perfect place for an unforgettable night in Latin style.

Grasshopper
2) Grasshopper
Grasshopper claims to be the best upscale dance club and lounge in Houston. This club features DJs playing the best of hip-hop and R&B. It is housed in a Tudor-revival style building, constructed in the 1880s. The first-floor bar has granite top with a floating glass overlay. Also on the first floor is a beautiful antique gold mosaic border artwork, dating back to 1917.

Level Nightclub‎
3) Level Nightclub‎
Located on Main street, the Level Nightclub‎, specializes in techno and house music and organizes themed nights. The club features two dance floors, a booming sound system, and striking lighting and decor. It is popular with the local youth and also with celebrities passing through town. Trendy atmosphere, cool music, and strong drinks, combine to make this place popular with club goers.

La Carafe‎ Wine Bar
4) La Carafe‎ Wine Bar
One of the pioneers of Houston nightlife, La Carafe‎ opened in 1955. It is housed in a building constructed in 1847, which is on the National Register of Historic Places. It may, in that sense, be the oldest bar in Houston; some claim the space is haunted. La Carafe offers a rotating selection of fine wines in an intimate, bohemian atmosphere, perfect for a romantic evening.

Toc Bar
5) Toc Bar
Toc Bar claims to be the longest running dance club in the downtown area. It features 2 levels, a patio, and five bars. Toc Bar is well-known for hosting some of the best DJs in the city and for playing the best mix of dance and hip-hop music.

Club Ultra
6) Club Ultra
Club Ultra is an upscale nightclub with three floors, each with its own dance floor and bar. It is located in a beautiful 1920s building. The decor features plush furniture in deep rust and dark brown suede, a granite bar and tabletops and sultry, set-the-mood lighting. The drinks are on the pricey side, as befits the club's decadent atmosphere.
