Makati district is called the heart of Manila. It is the main business center of the entire city. Life here never stops and the nights are brilliantly lit with dozens of colors. If you are eager for a crazy, long and great night in Manila - Makati is the first place you should visit. Welcome to this area, and enjoy the great nightclubs that Manila has to offer.
1) Conways
Conways is located on the second floor of the Makati Shangri-La. The bar was once one of the top venues for Manila's young crowd. It is open all night long. In the evenings, they have Happy Hour. This means that you pay a flat price, which is fairly high, for either a beer or cocktail choice, and then you simply continue to drink as much as you can until Happy Hour is over.

2) TGI's
TGI's offers cheap beer! After tax and service, of course. This amazing promotion lasts all night and includes all locally brewed beers. The bar and restaurant are very busy in the evenings. The bar attracts a good mixture of locals and tourists and has a nice, lively ambiance. People come here to meet each other, and young people are all over the place. The service is very good and typically friendly, in an American-styled way.

3) Hard Rock Cafe
Have you voted yet for your favorite bars in Manila? Hard Rock Cafe will sure get one of the best awards. It is a classic HRC, but with that wonderful Philippine touch. The music played here is not dark or doom and gloom, it's classic, good old rock. Sometimes, local bands give live concerts here. There's a mix of all ages enjoying the atmosphere at this club and cafe.

4) The Peninsula
The Peninsula is an exclusive, nice lounge located in a great hotel. The interior looks rich and imposing. Here, they serve great traditional cocktails. The decor looks more like a movie musical set, very modern and very glamorous. People come here to socialize, dance and have a great time. It's more for the 25 and over crowd. People tend to dress very classy, and the whole place looks like a well-appointed lounge.

5) Kipling's
Kipling's is located in the Mandarin Oriental hotel. The club's specialty is single malt whiskeys and fine cigars. They have a wonderful range of over 125 different whiskeys, most of them are single malts. And there is an even larger variety of cigars. Prices are a bit high, but are good value when compared to other fine drinking establishments. A glass of Balvenie - a truly excellent whiskey - will make your day.

The Danish Connection is located on Kalayan Avenue, and it's open all night long. The bar is a Nordic, Viking-style bar, with a Viking boat that's suspended from the ceiling. Jools is a very classy establishment that should be visited by anyone who is into the P. Burgos scene. They have a show that starts at around 9pm and it's very professional. The dancers are great and the cocktails have a local flavor to them. There is a cover charge. The shows don't last very long, but they do leave a wonderful impression.
