1) Museum of the Republic
Initially the museum building was erected to house the Grand National Assembly. However, the Assembly soon moved out and the building was not used for about 20 years. The building has a traditional Selçuk and Ottoman design combining a wide array of materials like wood, stone and marble. The collection of the museum presents the history of creation of the Turkish Republic.

2) The Museum of Anatolian Civilizations
The Museum of Anatolian Civilizations is located in the historic part of the city which is called Ulus. The Museum represents one of the most important historic and cultural edifices in the country, therefore everyone who wants to know the country’s history should visit this place. The Museum was last rebuilt in 1968 and today represents one of the most impressive collections of historic artifacts in the world.

3) Rahmi M Koç Industrial Museum
One of the most crowded and important streets of the 16th century is, today, the location for the Industrial Museum of Ankara. The street, which was an important meeting place in the middle ages, has had an important influence on the development of the museum. The modern museum plays host to different exhibits like engineering, medicine and other sciences.

4) Ankara Ethnography Museum
The Ethnography Museum of Ankara was built in 1925. The edifice was built on a hill in the Ulus area on the site of the Muslim cemetery. The museum’s building has a very beautiful facade and design; the walls are decorated with kufeki stones also enhanced with marble and engravings. Visiting the museum, you’ll find a wide collection of folk and Seljuk and Ottoman artifacts.

5) Railway Museum
The Railway museum is one of the industrial museums situated in the Ulus area. The museum is dedicated to the history and the development of Turkish railways. Here you can find a wide range of locomotives exhibited in the open air.
