Their style ranges from Mediterranean Revival and Prairie School architecture to Classical Revival and Transitional Queen Anne. Museum Of Asian Art
1) Museum Of Asian Art
Being one of a kind in this part of the country, the Museum of Asian Art is devoted to the art and culture of Asia including Cambodia, Thailand, China, Burma and Nepal. It features the famous Yangtze River Collection of Chinese jades. Make yourself and your family a gift by visiting this mesmerizing museum.

Dr. Walter Kennedy House
2) Dr. Walter Kennedy House
Dr. Walter Kennedy was a famous local optometrist. His house was built in 1926 in the Mediterranean Revival style which was designed by James Baum. The house has a separate servant's residence as well as a separate garage. Added to the National Register in 1994, this is a famous place commonly visited by tourists.

Dr. C. B. Wilson House
3) Dr. C. B. Wilson House
Dr. C. B. Wilson House also known as Office of Fuller, was erected in 1906 and is in the Prairie School architecture, with two floors and a pressed stone decorated exterior. The structure was added to the National Register in 1984 and is a famous tourist spot.

F. A. DeCanizares Residence
4) F. A. DeCanizares Residence
The F. A. De Canizares Residence started as a wooden structure. Later on, in 1925, it was moved to 1215 North Palm Avenue and was redesigned by Thomas Reed Martin. It features a Mediterranean Revival style.
Burns Realty Company - Karl Bickel House
5) Burns Realty Company - Karl Bickel House
The Karl Bickel House was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1987. It is in the Mediterranean Revival style, has a main center piece with two levels and two one-level wings. Initially it was owned by a real estate company, but later on it was changed into a household.

Dr. Joseph Halton House
6) Dr. Joseph Halton House
Dr. Joseph Halton House is located on Coconut Avenue and was built in 1910 by Joseph S. Maus. It boasts a Transitional Queen Anne style with two floors and an artificial stone front. It is a good example of the earliest houses to make heavy use of artificial stone.

Leonard Reid House
7) Leonard Reid House
Added to the National Register in 2002, Leonard Reid House is located on 1435 7th Street in Sarasota. The house features one level and is in the Prairie School design.
Turner Museum
8) Turner Museum
Opened in 1973, Turner Museum is dedicated to preserving and transmitting J.M.W. Turner's heritage. It features exhibitions that depict the various stages of Turner's artistic evolution and his collaboration with other artists. The museum is also selling original prints and art reproductions. Gulfcoast Wonder & Imagination Zone
9) Gulfcoast Wonder & Imagination Zone
The Gulfcoast Wonder & Imagination Zone was founded in 1990 and has the mission to awaken the interest of the younger generation in technology. Its 35 exhibits cover topics ranging from music and sound to motion and Mathematics, Physics, Geography, and the Health sciences. It has over 100 hands-on exhibits for children and adults. This museum is definitely worth the visit.
