2) The Famous Door
This bar is known for the rock music that is played here. Live performances are a tradition with this bar. The Famous Door is a top bar for young people wanting to have fun and enjoy great music.

3) Bourbon Street Blues
Even if it sounds like a quiet blues bar, this club is a really energetic dance bar. Bourbon Street Blues also provides karaoke and has a three-for-one Happy Hour from 4 p.m. until 9 p.m.

4) Razzoo
Razzoo is a place where you can find good music, especially dance, rock and hip-hop, good entertainment and excellent drinks. As this bar is well known among young people it is the perfect place to make good friends.

5) The Dungeon
The Dungeon is an original club with an authentic design. The atmosphere seems to be inspired by horror movies. The music played here is predominantly rock.

6) One Eyed Jacks
This bar is the premiere venue for Alternative acts touring in the city. It offers a lot of additional services for every taste with its VIP areas and backstage rooms. With a classy ambience, this bar provides entertainment in the form of burlesque performances and edgy punk and rock live acts.

7) Krazy Korner
This bar is the best in the city to enjoy rhythm and blues. This is the place where many performing artists come and play when visiting the French Quarter.

8) Cat's Meow
Cat's Meow is widely known among karaoke fans. The bar opened in 1989 and since than has attracted people because of its good music ranging from oldies up to modern and alternative rock. Another advantage of this place is the free karaoke. This is a bar with 2 floors with a nice viewing balcony on the second floor.

9) The Gold Mine
This club was nominated by Gambit Readers in 2007 as the best Dance Club in New Orleans. The club is only open on Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays. It is known for late night dancing and accessible drinks.
