Zagreb is a city where, especially on weekends, all the dance clubs are full of people. There is no shortage of places in Zagreb playing live modern house music, rock, or retro. Take this tour to discover the best night spots in the city.
1) Purgeraj
The Purgeraj Club was founded in spring 2003. Its main idea - other than being a decent disco joint - is to regularly host live performances by Croatian and international artists. The owners have succeeded in creating a leisurely atmosphere in which everyone feels welcome. Since its opening, the club has been an important part of the city's cultural scene. Purgeraj offers quality music topped with a huge variety of drinks and great service.

Papagaj is one of the funkiest clubs in Zagreb and a perfect place for a good night out. Here you can dance until the early hours to the beats of the 1980s' disco, soul, and rock. On Wednesdays, everything costs 10kn, and on Fridays and Saturdays, with each order you get a free Tequila drink.

BP Club is probably the greatest jazz club in Zagreb. It is located in the center of the city and hosts live jazz gigs every day. The place holds jazz festivals four times a year. The initials BP in the club's name stand for Boško Petrović, the greatest Croatian jazz musician. The atmosphere in the club is nice and friendly.

4) Skola Lounge Bar
Skola, winch literally translates as "school", is one of Zagreb's hottest night spots. It is a lounge bar located on the second floor of a building on Mirka Bogovića street. It features modern interior design and a large sitting area. Its extensive menu includes a generous variety of cocktails, wines and spirits. The music played here is quieter and more relaxing, as compared to other similar venues in the city.
