Nightlife in Ho Chi Minh City has not always been as vibrant as it is today. At the time of the war, Ho Chi Minh went through a number of changes and experienced a lot of bar and nightclub closures around 1975. Today, the night scene is alive and well, with various clubs and bars all around the city. This self-guided tour will lead you to different night venues, from small bars to very popular clubs and discos of Ho Chi Minh.
1) Apocalypse Now
Apocalypse Now is a must-see night spot of Ho Chi Minh. It offers cool drinks and a variety of music that appeals to all preferences. Crowds don't gather here until very late at night and often stay until the early morning hours. Carmen Bar is a fantastic night spot in Ho Chi Minh. The design is a little unusual, which adds to the bar's overall appeal. You enter through an odd stone staircase to find rough rock walls with fairy lights and Malibu bottles inside. The live music is excellent, mostly featuring Spanish rhythms with lively beats. You can order great cocktails and mingle amongst the large and loyal crowd that gathers each night.
