1) El Centenario
A good place to start is El Centenario, a traditional cantina in the heart of the Condesa's restaurant zone. Tables go fast, so prepare to belly up to the bar. Barhoppers often meet at El Centenario for drinks and song before moving on to late-night haunts nearby.

2) Celtics Condesa
This typical Celtic pub, located in the heart of "Condesa", a very well known chic area of Mexico City, features both Irish and British music. Celtics Condesa is furnished with comfortable sofas and oversized arm chairs and is an excellent place for a chat and a few drinks with friends. Once in a while they have bands playing live and this is when many of the regulars don traditional kilts and order several rounds of Guinness. A guaranteed good night out for all concerned!

3) Pata Negra
The Pata Negra is a widely known tapas bar and it fills up early. On Mondays and Tuesdays it features live music (salsa, bossa nova, jazz, and flamenco) performed by local bands. This bar is all about excitement and relaxation.

4) Cinna Bar
Cinna Bar is a lounge bar that draws the best and the brightest of Mexico City's nightlife set. The bar's ambiance is trendy and exclusive and the red glass window walls here are real eye catchers making it a great place for relaxing. The Cinna Bar's menu is centers mainly around tasty Thai food.

5) Mama Rumba
Here you will be captured by the hot beat of Latino music. You may not be a dancer but you will start responding to the rhythm without even noticing. The live bands performing here add to the electric atmosphere on the dance floor.
