Old Town is an active commercial, residential and community center, that dates back to 1706. Buildings around the Old Town plaza are authentic adobes which are up to 300 years old. Many buildings are constructed in Albuquerque's distinctive "Territorial Style". The Old Town is also famous as a shopping center, with a huge number of boutiques, shops, restaurants and bars.
