1) El Museo Puertorriqueño
El Museo Puertorriqueño is located in the Institute of Puerto Rican Culture, formerly Asilo de Beneficencia (Home for the Poor). The museum offers interesting exhibits, where you will find an exciting collection of artifacts, including fine pottery, stone tools and historical relics.

2) Museo de las Américas (Cuartel de Ballajá)
Museo de las Américas is located in the old Cuartel de Ballajá (Spanish military barracks). Dedicated to American culture, the museum displays changing exhibitions of paintings, carved figures, beautiful sculptures and other works by artisans from North, South and Central America.

3) San Juan Art and History Museum
Built in 1855 as a major city market, this museum now features various interesting exhibits related to San Juan’s art and history, including fine sculptures, beautiful paintings, an impressive collection of figurines and other fascinating artifacts.

4) Obra Galería Alegría
Obra Galería Alegría is a fine art gallery in Old San Juan that exhibits wonderful paintings and sculptures by talented Puerto Rican and international artists, including works by Nick Quijano and Domingo Garcia.

5) Galería Botello
Galería Botello is a contemporary art gallery that displays modern Latin American works by local artists. Named after Angel Botello, one of the most revered of Spanish artists, the gallery also offers antique Puerto Rican santos, which are hand-carved figures of saints made of wood.
