Purgatory has no entrance fee and offers a cabaret show in a bar environment. On Thursdays, Purgatory hosts a Latin model agency party. Younger clubbers are usually found at the upstairs bar and dance floor, while the downstairs VIP area is orientated more toward the older customer who prefers a quieter, more relaxed atmosphere.

Kennedy's Cigar Bar

Kennedy's Cigar Bar is probably the most notable cigar bar in Cape Town. It has a live jazz band play on weekdays, plus some special music guests on weekends. The bar's cigar selection is quite impressive. You can also enjoy a fine glass of cognac with your cigar.

Fiction DJ Bar & Lounge
9) Fiction DJ Bar & Lounge
The Fiction DJ Bar & Lounge opened recently and has steadily gained popularity as one of the largest spots for underground DJ battles. The live DJ sessions are later aired on the local radio station. In addition to the music, the bar is also a great place for socializing and meeting friends.
