Santa Lucia Hill
1) Santa Lucia Hill
Santa Lucia Hill is in the center of Santiago and features a Chilean palace at its top. The hill is historic for being the site where the city was founded. Features of the hill include monumental constructions, souvenir sellers, and a Neptune fountain. From the hill top you can see splendid views of the city.

Casa Colorada
2) Casa Colorada
Casa Colorada (Red House) is an example of the homes of the colonial time. Today it is Museum of Santiago and it attracts tourists with its stunning architecture. It was built in the 18th century and has resisted earthquakes and modernization.

Santiago Municipal Cathedral

The Municipal Cathedral that exists today is the 5th church built in its spot thanks to mutiple earthquakes. It was built in Baroque and classical styles with many statues and curves. The altar is decorated with marble, bronze and lapis lazuli, the Chilean semi precious stone.

National History Museum
5) National History Museum
National History Museum of Santiago is perfect for history lovers, as it offers detailed information about Chile since the time of its discovery. It is also an interesting place for art lovers, as it has a very rich collection of original paintings. This landmark museum is located right on Santiago's Plaza de Armas.

National Museum of Fine Arts
7) National Museum of Fine Arts
National Museum of Fine Arts is the oldest museum in Santiago and is one of the main centers of art in Chile and its neighboring countries. The museum displays some of the finest sculptures and paintings of the 16th - 20th centuries. It is set in a marvelous palace that copies the Petit Palais of Paris.

Patio Bellavista is a favorite place for both tourists and locals. It is a very pleasant plaza that has a reputation for offering good quality handcrafts, souvenirs, lapis lazuli jewels, wine stores, restaurants, cafes, art galleries.

La Chascona
9) La Chascona
The La Chascona museum is set in one of the historic residences of the famous Pablo Neruda. Neruda was one of the most outstanding Latin writers of the last century who received the Nobel Prize for Literature. His residences, like La Chascona, have all become historic sites.

St. Christopher's Hill
10) St. Christopher's Hill
At the top of St. Christopher's Hill, or Cerro San Cristobal, the statue of the Virgin Mary can be seen from almost any part of the city. This impressive statue is illuminated at night, making it almost impossible to go unnoticed. You can climb the hill by funicular or by cable car and enjoy the incredible view of the city.
