1) Rundle Mall
Rundle Mall, Adelaide’s premiere retail outlet, was opened as Australia's first pedestrian street mall in 1976 by closing Rundle Street to traffic between King William Street and Pulteney Street. The mall is home to many large Australian retailers and a large number of smaller independent and chain stores. The mall also features a number of arcades and plazas containing small boutiques and eateries.

2) Haigh's Chocolates
Haigh's Chocolates sells high quality chocolate products to customers in South Australia, Victoria and New South Wales. Based in Adelaide, where it was founded in 1915 by Alfred E. Haigh, this was his first shop, on Beehive Corner in Rundle Mall. Its décor remains as it was when it opened. There are six outlets within the Adelaide metropolitan region and five in Melbourne, as well as the first Sydney store established in 2005.

3) Opal Field Gems
Opal Field Gems, located on the ground floor of the Opal Field Gems Mine and Museum, offers a huge selection of items made of opal, such as earrings, pendants and various souvenirs. If you are not sure what to buy, the friendly and knowledgeable staff are always on hand to help.

4) Imprints Bookseller
Imprints Bookseller, a local book store on the West End, has been in business since 1984. Here you will find the works of local authors, as well as international titles. A good book is always a perfect gift.

5) JamFactory
The JamFactory is the ultimate place to shop for modern crafts and design. It features a large number of studios where some 50 people showcase their masterpieces made of wood, glass and ceramics. The JamFactory recently celebrated its 36th birthday.

6) Adelaide Central Market
The Adelaide Central Market, a large multicultural market in the center of Adelaide and major tourist attraction, sells a wide variety of goods, including food, toys, jewelery, rugs, seafood, gourmet items, groceries and much more. It has a vibrant atmosphere and is one of Adelaide's most popular landmarks. Today, it is surrounded by the Central Market Arcade, Adelaide China Town and Market Plaza. The center consists primarily of fresh produce stalls, with the perimeter and arcades mostly made up of cafés, restaurants and variety stores.

7) Antique Market
The Antique Market is a cozy shop located in Adelaide’s business district, opposite the Central Market. It sells a variety of antiques, with a specialty in vintage toys.
