1) Street Market Binnenrotte
This market is the biggest street market in the whole city, and it's also the place to find the best bargains. Here at Market Binnenrotte you'll find all kinds of wooden toys and souvenirs, traditional clothing, jewelery, watches and books. It's one of the most popular markets in Rotterdam.

2) Postzegel Market
For collectors of postage stamps, postcards or coins, this market is simply unmissable. It's the largest stamp collectors' market in all of The Netherlands, and one of the prettiest as well. So if you want to enhance your stamp collection by buying or trading exotic stamps, this is the place for you.

3) Market Blaak
Market Blaak is one Rotterdam's main market squares. Food, clothing & shoes, flowers, plants, electronics and much more can all be purchased here. You're sure to see a wide variation of stalls due to the many different cultures found in the city. The quality of goods here is very high, and at surprisingly low prices. It is open at Friday and Saturday.

4) Beurs Traverse (aka Koopgoot)
Here in this mostly pedestrianized shopping area you'll find lots of charming and inexpensive jewelry, famous brands of perfume, gifts and souvenirs and plenty more. The shopping area is located close to Coolsingel shopping street, where you'll find a further large collection of shops.

5) Lijnbaan Markt
The famous Lijnbaan - with its extensive range of shops - is the country's original pedestrianized shopping promenade. It's got branches of all the major Dutch stores. Here you can buy delicious ice cream, books, CDs, DVDs and cheap electronics from well known brands.

6) Wijnbar
Wine lovers will definitely want to visit Rotterdam's top wine store. Here you can taste great wines and pick out a few bottles as gifts or just to take home. Wijnbar Rotterdam is situated on Westelijk Handelsterrein Street in a former warehouse built in 1894 which is now a listed monument.

7) Nieuwe Binnenweg
Shopping for cheese in Nieuwe Binnenweg is a challenge. The variety of cheeses on sale here is truly spoiling: young, aged, yellow, with or without wax coats. You name it! Some, like the internationally acclaimed Gouda are well matured and are more bitter, while others are noticeably creamier and at times sport black paraffin coating.
