1) Buddha Tooth Relic Temple
The Buddha Tooth Relic Temple, situated in Singapore's Chinatown, is a cultural monument cherished by the Chinese people living in Singapore who make up the overwhelming majority of the population of this city-state. The temple looks just as majestic and impressive as the temples of the golden age of Buddhism in China. There is a museum inside the Temple. Also visit the Hundred Dragons Hall, the tea house and the cultural shop. Attend all the salmon ceremonies performed in the temple. The holy relic, the tooth of the Buddha, is kept inside the temple.

Sri Mariamman Temple
2) Sri Mariamman Temple
Sri Mariamman Temple is the oldest Hindu temple in Singapore. It was designed in the Dravidian style. It is a National Monument and an architectural gem. It is a must see place for tourists. The temple has many impressive Hindu sculptures.

Jamae Mosque
3) Jamae Mosque
Like the Chinese and the Hindus, Muslims also have their place of worship in Singapore. Jamae Mosque is one of the oldest mosques in the city. It was founded in 1826 and has some other names, one of them being Big Mosque. Its architecture is eclectic but there are strong traces of Indian influence.

In Chinatown's Heritage Center, you can learn everything about the Chinese migration to Singapore in the hope of a better life. It is situated among amazing and authentic shop-houses. You will see here artefacts from the golden as well as the dark period of Chinese history.

UOB Plaza
5) UOB Plaza
UOB Plaza consists of two skyscrapers that are worth visiting due to their architecture. UOB Plaza One is one of the three tallest skyscrapers of Singapore. It is 280 m high. There is a mosque that is unique because it is situated beneath one of the Towers. There is a podium connecting these two towers. You can visit the restaurant on the top of the higher tower.

Boat Quay

Boat Quay is a historical quay in Singapore. Nowadays it is a pedestrian shopping plaza. There are shops, bars, clubs, pubs and restaurants along the bank of the river. It offers some nice views of the city, especially at night.

7) Asian Civilizations Museum
Asian Civilizations Museum shows how so many cultures and civilizations can accommodate each other. Visiting this museum one can better understand and appreciate all the different cultures that go into making Singaporeans what they are - a cosmopolitan people. The museum also contains a shop and a cafe with a nice view of the river.

Esplanade Theater
8) Esplanade Theater
Esplanade - Theater on the Bay is a building situated along Marina Bay at the mouth of the Singapore River. You and your beloved can go watch a performance together and admire the unique and unusual architecture of the building as well. The building looks like the fruit, durian, and the locals call it by just that name - the Durian. The building is covered in glass and aluminium.

Armenian Church
9) Armenian Church
The Armenian Church was built in 1835. It was the first orthodox church in the city. It has been declared a national historic landmark. The land upon which the church is situated belongs to Armenian immigrants. It was designed in the British Neo-Classical style and is considered to be an architectural masterpiece.
