Owing to the success of the controversial "The Da Vinci Code" book by Dan Brown, Paris has become even an more popular tourist destination. This self-guided tour will take you through the main places described in the novel so that you could see for yourself and decide whether to believe or not.
1) Hotel Ritz
The tour starts at the place where the story of the Da Vinci Code begins. Robert Langdon is woken up by a police officer that announces Jacques Sauniere's murder. Langdon leaves his room at Paris Ritz Hotel and heads to the crime scene at Louvre.

2) Comédie-Française
Be sure to stop by the famous Comedie–Francaise as this is the place where you can start following the Arago Rose Line or Paris Meridian that is controversially dealt with by Dan Brown. La Comedie–Francaise is also an impressive 19th century building that you would probably appreciate.

3) Palais Royal
Palais Royal is a former chateau where French royal family resided for centuries. Today it houses the Constitutional Court and the Culture Ministry. In the book of Dan Brown this is the place where Robert Langdon follows the Arago Rose Line in order to find the Holy Grail.

4) Louvre Museum
The Louvre Museum is the next stop in the Da Vinci Code tour. This is the place where Jacques Sauniere was murdered. The action takes place in the Denon Wing of the Museum. While in here pay tribute to the famous Mona Lisa (La Gioconda), the portrait also analyzed in the novel.

5) Pont des Arts
Even if Pont des Arts Bridge is not directly touched on by Dan Brown in his novel, it is en route to the next stop of the tour. Here you can enjoy the beautiful sight of the River Siene, the Ile de la Cite, and the stunning view of The Louvre Museum.

6) Saint-Sulpice Church
Saint Sulpice is the largest church in Paris located in the Saint Germain district. In the Da Vinci Code book, the albino monk – Silas - breaks into the Church searching for a keystone at the base of an obelisk on the floor.
