Casa Naranja
1) Casa Naranja
Casa Naranja is a Gothic mansion of the 19th century that has now become a luxurious cultural center. It contains art exhibitions of the finest collections of Chilean artists. The delicious in-house restaurant offers dishes that are each named after a famous painter.

Church of Saint Domingo is a historical monument of Santiago. It is an amazing Baroque building with 2 Bavarian Baroque towers at the entrance made of brick and paintings of the colonial period.

Santiago Municipal Cathedral
3) Santiago Municipal Cathedral
The Municipal Cathedral you see today is the 5th church built in its spot thanks to mutiple earthquakes. It was built in Baroque and classical styles with many statues and curves. The altar is decorated with marble, bronze and lapis lazuli, the Chilean semi precious stone.

The Museum of Sacred Arts has a very calming ambiance and the "smell" of church. It displays items for Eucharist, religious paintings, documents, and Jesuit gold and silver objects.

Casa Colorada (Red House) is an example of the homes of the colonial time. Today it is Museum of Santiago and it attracts tourists with its stunning architecture. It was built in the 18th century and has resisted earthquakes and modernization.

Municipal Theater

Municipal Theater was opened in 1857 and was designed by French architects. Today, it is a National Monument of Santiago and is considered the center of cultural and social life of the city.

Santa Lucia Hill
7) Santa Lucia Hill
Santa Lucia Hill is in the center of Santiago and features a Chilean palace at its top. The hill is historic for being the site where the city was founded. Features of the hill include monumental constructions, souvenir sellers, and a Neptune fountain. From the hill top you can see splendid views of the city.

The Church of San Francisco is a famous ancient church of Santiago. There is a museum that displays religious paintings and other religious items right near the church. The icon of Virgen del Socorro stands in the amazing Franciscan temple.
