1) Lin Liu-Hsin Puppet Theatre Museum
Lin Liu-Hsin Puppet Theatre Museum was founded in 2000 and has been Taiwan's leading center of traditional puppet art. Performances by the museum have been held in several countries all over the world. The museum is housed in a historic building that contains the museum itself and the multi-purpose Nadou Theatre. It includes four floors of exhibition space and a workshop that holds demonstrations on puppet carving and performance techniques.

2) Museum of Contemporary Art
The Museum of Contemporary Art building is an infusion of modern European and Japanese styles. It is the first museum in Taiwan to be dedicated exclusively to contemporary art. This museum is the perfect place to see a huge assortment of work, demonstrating artists' creativity and ability to capture various cultural aspects of Taiwan.

3) National Taiwan Museum
National Taiwan Museum, founded in 1908, is the oldest in Taiwan. The building represents both Renaissance and Baroque styles and received the title of National Historical Monument in 1998. The museum contains five departments-anthropology, earth sciences, zoology, botany and education.

4) 228 Memorial Museum
228 Peace Memorial Park was the first European-style park in the country. Its name comes from the day (February 28, 1947) the historic White Terror period of Taiwan began. Thousands of Taiwanese were killed or imprisoned during an anti-government uprising that began when protesters took over the radio station that was established in this park. The park occupies 71,520 sq m and houses Taipei 228 Memorial Museum and a number of memorials to victims of those events.

5) Postal Museum
The Postal Museum was established in 1965 by the Directorate General of Posts to make people more knowledgeable of the postal industry, including its history. The museum expands across seven floors of its home building and is divided into four sections: Postal History, Modern Post Services, Philately and Special Expedition.

6) National Museum of History
The National Museum of History has a great collection of treasures that introduce visitors to Chinese art and history. The building consists of five floors, four of which are used for their unique exhibitions. Some objects presented here are dated back to the Neolithic period. The museum is known all over Taiwan for its educational programs and exhibitions of international significance.
