Split is not considered a shopping destination, but it does offer some charming shopping locations. The main destinations include the daily market located on the east side of the Palace as well as the Palace's underground cellars. The city also has a lot of small shops located in the old town.
1) Peskarija
Peskarija is the local fish market located about halfway up Marmontova Street. This is a covered market. You will admire the writings of Ribarnica over the entrance doors, the steel structure, and the glass roof of this beautiful building. Every day the place bustles with locals checking out the day's fresh catch.

2) Hajduk
Hajduk is the local football team of Split. They are the country's most successful club and also the current Champion. A shop dedicated to the team is located in the center of Split. The store offers t-shirts, football jerseys, and other souvenirs.

3) Cardo
Located near the Palace's Golden Gate, Cardo is a perfect place for souvenirs. The excellent selection of souvenirs and gifts are made by local artists. Prices are not too expensive, so you might find the perfect item to bring back home.

4) Priska
Priska is a souvenir shop located in the Diocletian Palace. A lot of locals and tourists agree that Priska is the most beautiful of all the shops in Split. The shop features original souvenirs of stone, sea sponges, Croatian olive oil, and wines. You will also find a terrific collection of ceramic products, cups, and t-shirts.

5) Zlatarna Peristil
Zlatarna Peristil, situated next to the Peristil Square, is a jewelry store. The shop promotes local jewelers as well as the work of world famous designers. Here you will find a variety of wedding rings, silver bracelets, and traditional necklaces - all of which are made from the finest metals and precious stones.
6) Kras
Kras is a Croatian brand of chocolate. One of their stores is located in Split in the old town. The shop is full of sweets and goodies that will make you want to stay there all day. The product selection varies from traditional dark chocolate to original recipes and traditional home-made sweets.

7) Morpurgo Bookstore
Morpurgo was one of the most prominent bookstores in the 19th century. The store is located at the top of the Narodni Trg, which is ideal for the plethora of tourists that visit the area. The store features a phenomenal collection of books written by both local and world-renown authors.

8) Podrum
Podrum is an underground chamber in the Diocletian Palace. The underground chamber is a market full of all types of local goods and crafts. Podrum is a perfect place to get a specific gift or souvenir from Split. The variety of merchandise will allow you the opportunity of selecting the perfect gift.
9) Trznica
Trznica is a daily market located on the east side of Diocletian Palace. The market offers a wide variety of products, which range from clothing and jewelry to local foods and hand crafted items. Tzrnica is common with the locals, but also visited by tourists.
