1) Nippon Maru Ship
Nippon Maru Ship is said to be "swan on the Pacific Ocean." It was built in 1930 and is now a ship museum. Prior to that, it was a training ship for apprentice sailors. The ship became a museum largely due to its well-preserved original design. When on board, make sure to visit the Captain's Cabin, the Officer's Salon and a merchant marine classroom.

2) Landmark Tower Yokohama
What do you think about zipping in the world's fastest elevator to the very top of the highest skyscraper in Japan? The building is called the Landmark Tower of Yokohama. It offers amazing views of the whole city and the ocean.

3) Yokohama Cosmo World Amusement Park
The Cosmo World is a modern amusement park set in the harbor of Yokohama. There are 27 fun attractions. Its Ferris wheel is the largest in the world and never fails to impress the visitors. It is called Cosmo Clock 21. The Clock can take 480 passengers at a time and stands 112 meters tall! It looks particularly magical at night when it is illuminated and the lights change their colors. The attractions here are high-tech and three-dimensional.

4) Osanbashi Pier
You can see the world's biggest ships moor at Osanbashi Pier. The pier was built in 1894 and is the point of entry for most tourists to Yokohama. The pier provides outstanding views of the bay and the iconic bridge across it to Tokyo. Osanbashi Pier is considered the most beautiful pier in Japan.

5) Hikawa-Maru Ship
Hikawa-Maru Ship was built in 1930. It is a fantastic place for children, especially boys. The ship is a rare survivor of World War II. It used to be a passenger liner to North America until the war broke out; then it was converted into a military ship. Now it is a unique local landmark and a museum. Children will learn more about naval history here and visit the original engine room, bridge deck and other parts of the ship.

6) Yokohama Marine Tower
Yokohama Marine Tower is a 106-meter tall tower and the highest lighthouse in the world. There is an observation deck almost at its top from where one can enjoy breathtaking views. It looks more impressive at night when it is illuminated. The light changes colors from red to green to white. The tower was opened in 1961.

7) Rose Garden
There is a picturesque garden sitting on a hill in Yokohama, called the Rose Garden. There are probably all types of roses known to man gathered here. Some of them have beautiful names, like Fascination or Angel's Face. Under the rose arches you will find the best tea rooms in the region. There are also some nice buildings near the garden. Among other sights, the garden offers a nice view of the Yokohama port and the famous Bay bridge.

8) Yokohama Foreign Cemetery
The Yokohama Foreign Cemetery is a final resting place for prominent foreign nationals who had lived in Yokohama and contributed to its development. Overlooking the cemetery is the statue of Saint Mary.
