Anaheim Mother Colony House is an old house, one of the first buildings built in the city. It dates back to 1857. The construction material was redwood. You can visit the 3 rooms of the house. You will see the single gable roof decorated with roof crest. Hansen was a German colonist who built this house; he is considered the "Father of Anaheim." In 1929, the Mother Colony House was transformed into a museum. It is the oldest museum in Orange County and is now also a State Historical Landmark.
