Battery Jackson, Honolulu

Battery Jackson was built in 1913 and installed near the coastline to protect Pearl Harbor. Its equipment consists of two, 15-centimeter guns that have disappearing carriages. It has an adjacent air raid shelter constructed from concrete in 1915. The battery was named after a famous American Civil War General - Richard H. Jackson.
