Barra Lighthouse and Nautical Museum, Salvador (must see)
The Barra Lighthouse is part of Santo Antônio da Barra Fort, built in 1536, the first fortification in the country. The fortification houses the Nautical Museum, which exhibits relics from the history of seafaring and the slave trade in Brazil. The Nautical Museum also has temporary exhibits featuring different aspects of the sea.
