Hôtel de Région (Regional Hotel), Montpellier

The Hôtel de Région marks the end of the architectural axe of the Antigone. Situated on the other side of the river Lez, it was built in neo-classical style, like all the other works of the famous architect, Ricardo Bofill. The hotel is constructed primarily of stone and glass, thus making it very visible in daylight, due to the reflection of lights. The Hôtel de Région is placed in front of a huge, splendid fountain. It is the size of the Triumphal Arc in Paris.
