Hisa eksperimentov (House of Experiments), Ljubljana

Located at the heart of the city, the House of Experiments stands out as one of the pioneering European science centers built on the principle of "Do it yourself", It advocates for science education through hands-on experience, allowing visitors to engage with experiments firsthand.

Covering a wide range of subjects including physics, chemistry, mathematics, biology, geography, anthropology, nuclear science, computer science, and more, the center invites everyone to touch, smell, and practically experiment with various phenomena.

Weekdays are reserved for school groups, while weekends draw crowds of individuals, especially on rainy days. On Sundays from 11 AM to 2 PM, visitors can enjoy a 50% discount on individual tickets, priced at just €3. The best time to visit is before 5 PM on weekends, when science shows covering diverse topics are showcased.

Annually, during the last week of May, the center hosts the Sciencetival, a science festival spanning the streets of central Ljubljana.

Recently, they developed a free mobile application enabling users to conduct up to five different experiments live from their smartphones, marking a groundbreaking achievement in the field.
