Monument to Fallen Soldiers, Lagos
Located at the beautiful Praça Luis de Camões, surrounded by pretty houses and curious shops and cafes, Monumento aos Mortos da Grande Guerra (Monument to Fallen Soldiers) is dedicated to the Portuguese soldiers who participated in the First World War (1914-1918). The monument itself is a stone cross on top of a pillar, these being surrounded by iron chains and flowers.
