Musée des Arts Asiatiques (Asian Arts Museum), Nice

The Museum of Asian Arts is a recently established museum in Nice that has garnered a devoted following among locals. Its fundamental aim is to showcase and promote Asian arts within France, displaying the beauty and diversity of Eastern art and culture.

Located within Phoenix Park, the museum first opened its doors to the public in 1998. Designed by Kenzo Tange, the modern building features a unique combination of round and square foundations, symbolizing the connection between earth and sky in a Japanese style. The museum's exterior is constructed from pure white marble, adding to its aesthetic appeal. Additionally, a small lake has been incorporated into the landscape, providing visitors with a peaceful spot to observe ducks and other waterfowl.

With numerous exhibits and activities to explore, the museum offers an engaging and immersive experience. One particularly popular spot is the Tea Pavilion, which frequently hosts authentic tea ceremonies. Visitors can also enjoy performances by local Asian artists and peruse the gift store inside.
