Paço Alfándega, Recife

Paço Alfándega is a famous shopping mall and a local landmark. Originally, the structure was built in 1732 to house a convent. Later, the building became a Customs House. In 2003, it opened as a great shopping mall. It has about 80 stores. Some of the beautiful old features of the building were preserved and from the fourth floor patio you can enjoy the great view over Recife and the sea.
