The Parque Marítimo César Manrique is an entertainment complex, designed by architect César Manrique. The park is located in the current area of expansion of the capital of island, close to other buildings such as the Centro Internacional de Ferias y Congresos de Tenerife, the Auditorio de Tenerife, the Palmetum of Santa Cruz de Tenerife and the Torres de Santa Cruz.

Parque Marítimo César Manrique (Cesar Manrique Maritime Park) covers 22,000 square meters and was inaugurated in 1995. The complex features elements of nature, such as volcanic rocks, palm trees and ornamental plants. Among the park's main facilities are 3 pools, an artificial waterfall, Children's play areas, Sports facilities and a Small beach.

La Caleta de Negros, a volcanic sand beach, is located between the César Manrique Maritime Park and the Palmetum of Santa Cruz de Tenerife , very close to the port. Next to the beach is the Castillo de San Juan .

The beach was chosen by Alonso Fernández de Lugo for the landing of 1,200 soldiers in the conquest of the island on May 1 , 1494
