Museo di S. Agostino (Museum of St. Augustine), Genoa
Museo di S. Agostino is located in the Augustinian monastery dating back to the thirteenth century. It is the main sculpture museum in Liguria, the only one that allows the visitor to take a full path in the world of sculpture from the Middle Ages to modern Genoese (with some fascinating digressions into the French, Roman, Lombard and Tuscan cultural spheres). Its collections are also rich in frescoes and monumental paintings, making the visit articulated, varied and full of cross references.
