Monument to Those Who Died For Freedom, Bishkek

Monument to Those Who Died For Freedom is dedicated to those who died during the Aksy events of 2002 and the April events of 2010.

The monument is an exposition of two stones: black and white. At the junction of two stones, people push away the black stone. The monument symbolizes the victory of good over evil, light over dark. The memorial includes a list of the dead who gave their lives for a better future for Kyrgyzstan .

On both sides, on the white part of the monument, two inscriptions in the Kyrgyz language are inscribed in gold: "Blessed memory of those who died in 2002 in Aksy and in April 2010 for the freedom of the people", "For those who laid down their lives for the freedom of the people, who immortalized themselves with their feat who died for the future of the country."
The height and width of the monument is 7 meters (sculptor S.Adiev, architects U.Beishenbiev and T.Alykulov).
