A sophisticated nightclub in the SoHo district, the trendy Southside appeals to an upscale clientele, including models, local artists and other trendy types. Design features include potted plants, black tiles on the walls reminiscent of a subway station, and leather booths. An increasingly popular nightspot, not everyone has what it takes to impress the bouncers and lines to get in can get pretty long. An assortment of music can be heard at Southside. Wednesday nights the DJs spin rock, indie, and 80s music, Thursday evenings are reserved for house, and Friday and Saturday nights the sounds of popular rock and pop can be heard until 4:00 AM.
