A refreshing change of pace from the bourbon Street madness of tourists and college students, the Gold Mine is a friendly little bar located inside a former jazz club in an historic building on the corner of Dauphine Street and St. Peter Street. Old arcade cabinets can be found inside, as well as vintage posters on the walls. The Gold Mine features a variety of great drink specials throughout the week, including two-for-one Flaming Dr. Peppers, a house specialty. This fun bar also features special nights throughout the week such as retro evenings and the popular Wheel of Booze with random drink specials every hour.
