Via Grande (Main Street), Livorno

Main Street (Via Grande) extends from the area of Mediceo Port to Republic Square. It is a big shopping street. Most of the stores are familiar chain stores for high-end clothing, shoes, and like goods. There are still some local shops, cafes, and smaller outlets for jewelry and perfumes.

Main Street is hard to miss. It is near the shuttle bus route leading from the cruise ship docks to the city center. Ricasoli Street, with its upscale boutiques, is within walking distance. A supermarket, "Conad," is on the west end of Main Street. Most shops are closed on Sundays and public holidays. Hours are 9 am to 1 pm and 3 pm to 8 am.

The main shopping street in Livorno is Main Street, without a doubt. However, Ricasoli Street is another good shopping street. To get there from Main Street, go down Cairoli Street, cross Cavour Square, and there it is.
