How to Get to Athens from the Port, Athens, Greece (B)
Read below to find out how to get to Athens from the port of Piraeus, Rafina or Lavrio. Depending on where you’re coming from, you will end up in one of these three large ports serving the city of Athens.
Piraeus is the largest port of Greece, and the main port of Athens. If you are arriving to Athens by sea, you’ll probably arrive here.
Right in front of Piraeus Port, there is the green metro line which can take you to Omonia, in the center of Athens. The ride takes about 25 minutes and a one-way ticket costs €2.00.
A faster way to get to Athens from Piraeus while looking out the window is to take the tram. You have to walk to the SEF tram station, but the ride will be only 27 minutes long. And a one-way ticket costs under €2.00.
