Chefchaouen, the blue jewel of Morocco is a magical town in the North of the country. A beautiful blue-washed town sitting perfectly between two peaks of the Rif mountain range.

How to get there: The closest airport is Tangier Airport and from there you should take a taxi for about 3 hours which should roughly cost DH650 (£50, 65€).

Or if you are coming from Spain, take the ferry from Algeciras either to Ceuta (in Spain) or to Tangier (in Morocco) it will take approximately 1 hour to 1 hour and a half to cross and will cost around 35€ for one way.

From Ceuta cross the border at La Frontera, get an entry form at the border, get your passport stamped and you’re through, where you will see 100s of taxis, you have 2 options…get a taxi to Teuton bus station (45minutes) then change there for the bus to Chefchaouen.
