Bristol - Stokes Croft, Bristol, England (B)

Stokes Croft is one of the hubs for student life in the city and provides a great alternative scene that contrasts with the more straight-laced areas of Clifton and the city centre. The main street, Cheltenham Road, is lined with vintage shops and quirky cafés so if you want to head out for some falafel or some second-hand flannel shirts then this is the place to be. Further down the road it contains absolutely loads of bars, each with their own twist on serving drinks and being cool.

The Crofters Rights (http://croftersrights.co.uk/) is a great pub that has stripped back all unnecessary things including any paint on the walls and now looks kind of like a barn with bare brick and everything made from wood. I would recommend them for their incredible range of craft beers and ciders.

Attached to this is a tiny restaurant that changes regularly, currently it hosts Skipchen (https://www.facebook.com/bristolskipchen), a really cool restaurant that takes food that is fine to eat but supermarkets have thrown out anyway and makes it into delicious food that you pay what you want for. ......
