Megawatt Restaurant: The 1st Power Plant Themed Restaurant, Quezon City, Philippines (B)

We were really happy when the good people from Megawatt restaurant invited us along with some of our blogger friends to try out their food. This is not the first time we’ve heard of Megawatt restaurant as they were one of the businesses in the Blogaplooza Horizons.

At first glance, the name ”Megawatt’ isn’t really something that’s normally used as a restaurant’s name.

Good thing we’re honored to have the opportunity to talk to one of the owners, Ms. Joyce Esteban, to know more about Megawatt restaurant.

We learned from Ms. Joyce herself that Megawatt restaurant is a power plant themed restaurant; hence, the name. She and her co-owners, Mr. Melvin and Mr. Parker, who also own Red Baron Ribs and Steaks with her, got the inspiration from their visit at a power plant in North Cotabato.

Their concept may be simple, but Megawatt’s owners made it significant by making it the first solar-powered restaurant in Metro Manila. Yes, you read it right!
