Sea Watch Restaurant in Fort Lauderdale, Fort Lauderdale, Florida (B)

Opening its’ doors in 1974, the Sea Watch is one of Fort Lauderdale’s most popular restaurants. Perched on a bluff overlooking the Atlantic Ocean, every table has commanding views of the ocean. Walking the lush grounds, you hear the whisper of winds through the profusion of palm trees. Sand dunes dotted with natural sea grass beckon you to explore more of the unspoiled sandy beach below.

Entering through the heavy oak door is reminiscent of an old sailing ship. Dark wooden beams and photos of movie stars dot the dining room walls. A refined and peaceful setting for a dining experience, it is evident that this is part of the charm of the Sea Watch restaurant.

Our server Ashley was quite personable and made appropriate recommendations for our meal. Jim began with a classic Mojito, and I opted for a delicious glass of Pinot Noir. Sipping our drinks, looking out on the expanse of the lush grounds was peaceful and added to the celebratory nature of the evening. 

The menu at the Sea Watch is a more upscale, sophisticated menu. The Crispy Calamari is served with a choice of two sauces: a Basil Aioli and a Soy Ginger Lime Cilantro. Serving the calamari with these sauces is a refreshing change! The Basil Aioli brings out the delicate flavor of the Calamari, while the Soy Ginger Lime Cilantro packs a flavorful bite. ......
