Take a free walking tour of Gamla Stan. On this tour, you’ll not only see the most famous sights in the Old Town, like Stortorget, the Royal Palace and the Stockholm Cathedral, but you’ll hear plenty of interesting facts, tall tales and dark legends from the city’s 750-year history.

Watch the Changing of the Guard at the Royal Palace. The timing changes depending on the season, so check the website before you head out there.
